Chatsworth, CA (April 14, 2020) – Essential businesses and medical facilities around the country are facing critical shortages of personal protective equipment (PPE) due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In response to this need, IT Creations, Inc., one of the fastest growing IT equipment resellers in the United States, is donating 25,000 KN95 masks to essential businesses across the states in an effort to protect front-line workers and the community. KN95 masks offer the same protection as the N95 masks and have recently been approved for use by the FDA.

“Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic has taken over the world. Not only are healthcare workers in need, but also our grocery workers and other people employed by essential businesses that are in charge of infrastructure and support our livelihood,” said Alex Gorban, Chief Executive Officer. “We knew we had to do something because many of the companies that are being affected are our customers.”

IT Creations has developed relationships with countless medical facilities through business transactions. Not to mention, pharmacies and grocery stores where their workers need personal protective equipment to continue serving the public.

“We’re grateful for our loyal customers all around the world who we continue to do business with,” added Gorban. “These donations during this unexpected pandemic would not be possible without them.”

SSM Health St. Anthony Foundation in the state of Oklahoma received the first 500 KN95 masks to relieve the shortage.

“On behalf of everyone at SSM Health St. Anthony, thank you for being an active part of the solution to respond effectively to the pandemic and better ensure the health and safety of our neighbors,” said Sherry Rice Rhodes, Vice President of the foundation. “You are saving lives. Your donation is making it possible for our dedicated doctors, nurses, and staff to provide safe, compassionate care to people in our community during this unprecedented time in our nation.”

Until supply can meet demand, extraordinary measures are necessary to protect those who are filling critical roles. Officials at IT Creations hope the KN95 masks will help relieve the demand of these critical one-time-use masks.

“We have an obligation to help each other during times of crisis. Our efforts can directly help to flatten the curve,” said Natalie Krasheninnikov, HR Manager. “We want to take care of the essential workers that are taking care of our communities.”

IT Creations staff- coronavirus social distancing

As COVID-19 began to spread in Los Angeles County, IT Creations provided their staff that could work from home with an at-home virtual private network (VPN) and quickly established protocols to reduce contact for those who continued to configure and ship products. Out of an abundance of caution, preventative measures were taken to keep the workplace clean and maintain a healthy environment for workers, while ensuring social distancing. As an essential business, IT Creations, Inc. continues to deliver custom servers, workstations, and computer parts to shoppers worldwide.

IT Creations is a relatively small company in the larger scheme of things, but even small gestures can have a large impact. We challenge other companies to consider how they too might help their local community with a timely donation of critically short medical supplies or food for those whose jobs or health have been affected during this crisis.
